payment and fee policy

  • Medical services are provided and billed by the Practice. Our providers are registered with Medicare Australia. 

  • Bulk-billing may occur for follow up and at Doctor's discretion.

  • Driver's Licence, Workers' Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Employment Medicals, Travel Vaccination/Clinic etc. All privately billed. (No Medicare Rebate Apply).

  • Iron infusions procedure are non-rebateable services. Iron infusion consultations are however rebateable.

  • Procedures/Wound Management may incur a private fee for treatment room use. Kindly advise Reception at time of booking.

General consultations​

  • Health Care Card Holders, Pension Card Holders and children under 16 years are bulk-billed.

 

Missed Appointments

  • A fee will be charged for missed appointments.

  •  We require a 48-hour cancellation notice, or cancellation fees apply.

 

Repeat Prescriptions and Referral

  • Patients are advised to book an appointment to see the doctor for repeat prescriptions and referrals.

How much is my out-of-pocket cost for a standard consultation?

As a private patient and for a standard consultation, you pay $70 at the Practice and claim a rebate of $42.85 from Medicare if you are rebate eligible. Hence, the net out-of-pocket cost for a standard consultation is $27.15.

What about a long consultation?

As a private patient and for a long consultation, you pay $107 at the Practice and claim a rebate of $82.90 from Medicare if you are rebate eligible. Hence, the net out-of-pocket cost for a long consultation is $24.10.

 

I don't have a Medicare Card. How much will I pay for a standard consultation?

Generally, for a standard consultation, the total out-of-pocket cost to you, without a Medicare Card, is  $70.00.

 

I want to register as a new patient of the Practice. What do I need to do?

All new patients will be billed 'Private.'

Call to make an appointment to be seen by one of our doctors. Come in to complete and sign the patient registration form.

On your first visit, bring along your Medicare Card, Photo ID, Health Care Card and/or Pension Card (if applicable).

 

I have another GP I see regularly. Can I still be seen by one of your Doctors?

All patients who require treatment will be seen. We will obtain the necessary health information to provide treatment.
